As a child growing up, I have always loved writing. Writing is my passion. It has been in these quiet moments of solitude that I got to learn more about myself and how I enjoyed pinning the pen to paper.
In my younger days, I wrote a collection of poems and stories of ideas and experiences which had a great and memorable impact on me. Spiritual poems were my favourite. I remember expressing myself moment by moment about God's love, nature, relationships with others and basically how God designed life for us humans and where we will be some day. Every time I read my inspiring and heart warming writings, the peace within my soul ultimately breaks free from depression and the hardships of life.
As an adult, I have gained new perspectives on writing. Firstly, I had randomly been searching from employment and successfully landed myself a job as a part time writer. This was writing at a whole new level. Every day that passed by, there was something new to write about. Beyond that, there was financial reward, motivation, purpose, clients, varied interests, etc. I enjoyed it tremendously. Secondly, I started my career in 2012 as an elementary teacher. The knowledge and skills which I have developed as a teacher have helped me in teaching writing and to be an aspiring expert writer. Many students do not like or engage in writing frequently. It is our job as teachers to make writing like eating mac n cheese or watching a favourite movie: fun, interesting, memorable and a crave for more.
With these said, my blog posts will enlighten you my audience further on my knowledge, experience and skills gained. Get a glimpse in the front seat row of my journey in the writing classroom and beyond! In addition, you will be able to read texts from my personal writing collection, hoping that you too will be captivated and swept off your feet into an imaginary paradise.
